2025: Where everything came together

For years, Joan built powerful tools that each solved specific workplace challenges. Room booking. Desk reservation. Parking and Assets. Visitor management. Workplace signage. All supported with analytics to help you understand how your workplace performs. Each one worked well independently.

But 2025 changed everything. These tools are now connected into a single, unified platform where every part of your workplace works together seamlessly. No add-ons, no separate plans, now everything is included in one all-inclusive package.

This year's updates focused on putting employees first, with features designed to make everyday workplace interactions simpler and more intuitive:

Announcements that actually reach people. Notifications go directly to phones for employees in the office, not those working from home. No more spam for remote workers, just relevant updates when they matter.

QR codes for instant booking. Walk up to any desk, scan the QR code, and check in or book instantly. The same quick-booking experience now extends to assets, giving everyone a faster way to reserve what they need.

Air quality analytics for better decisions. Track temperature and humidity levels to spot when your office air needs attention. The analytics dashboard also tracks occupancy patterns and upcoming schedules, giving you what you need to plan team activities and maintain a healthy workplace.

Multi-tenant booking made simple. Buildings with multiple tenants often face a problem when one company uses Google Calendar and another uses Microsoft, making it difficult to coordinate shared meeting rooms. Joan unifies everything into one app where anyone can book meeting rooms across all tenants, regardless of which calendar their company uses.

2026: The intelligence layer

If 2025 brought everything together, 2026 moves us forward. We're building on that unified foundation to create a smarter workplace with an exceptional experience, integrating seamlessly into the tools people already use and the way they already work.

Joan new calendar lets you book rooms independently of any platform

As part of the 2026 updates, Joan is launching a multi-tenant native calendar solution. Organizations that don’t use Google or Microsoft will now be able to rely fully on Joan as their calendar provider, enabling seamless room booking without any third-party integrations.

MyJoan as your workplace hub

The MyJoan mobile app will serve as your workplace command center. Check who's in the office this week. Send announcements that matter to your team. Sign up for office events. Keep tabs on your team without drowning in pings.

These same capabilities will flow into Slack and Teams through deeper integrations, so you can manage your workplace from the tools you already use.

AI that understands how you work

AI has become part of how people work. We ask AI to research topics, automate repetitive tasks, and manage our calendars. The way we interact with software continues to evolve.

Joan is bringing this same conversational approach to workplace management. Instead of opening apps and clicking through menus, you'll simply ask for what you need.

The Joan AI Agent is coming

Joan is developing an AI agent that will let you manage your workplace through conversation. Find a desk near your team. Check occupancy across your locations. Book meeting spaces. Order catering. Report issues. All through simple requests in natural language.

The agent will work inside Slack, Teams, and the MyJoan app, helping organize everything without switching between apps.
